2017 Lagoon 450 F

The Lagoon 450 F is a 45-foot fiberglass catamaran built by Lagoon to designs developed by VPLP architects and Nauta Design. The hull employs infusion-moulding construction for weight savings and structural integrity. Twin 114 hp Yanmar diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of just over 6 knots, with a maximum speed near 7.4 knots.

The layout includes five cabins and five heads across the twin hulls, with vertical glazing throughout to optimize natural light, headroom, and solar shading. Interior joinery uses Alpi reconstituted wood in either light oak or teak finishes. The bridge deck features a gull-wing design intended to improve comfort in heavy seas.

Deck areas and accommodation spaces are notably expansive for the class. The catamaran's design prioritizes performance under sail alongside its diesel range capability, combining the efficiency expectations of the VPLP partnership with the refinement typical of Nauta Design interiors.
