The 2017 Lagoon 52 F is a fiberglass catamaran designed by Van Peteghem and Lauriot-Prevost, with exterior styling by Patrick le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design. The hull is built of polyester fiberglass sandwich construction with solid infused fiberglass below the waterline and resin-infused fiberglass over a balsa core on the decks and topsides. The boat features a fractional sloop rig with aluminum spars and 1X19 stainless steel rigging, a deck-stepped mast with dual swept diamond spreaders, plumb stems, and reverse transoms with swimming platforms. Twin internally mounted spade rudders and fixed fin keels provide steering and stability.
Power comes from twin Yanmar diesel engines rated at 160 horsepower each. The catamaran spans 52 feet in length with a 28-foot-7-inch beam, delivering the spacious platform the design is known for.
The layout offers seven cabins, each with its own head and shower, accommodating six to fourteen people depending on cabin configuration. Maximum cabin headroom is 216 centimeters. The main salon features panoramic windows, an L-shaped settee, and a forward-facing navigation station. The galley is U-shaped with a four-burner stove, refrigerator, freezer, and double sink. A cockpit lounge with U-shaped seating provides additional entertaining space. Interior finishes combine modern aesthetics with marine-grade durability throughout.
