2017 Leopard 40

IMILOA is a 2017 Leopard 40 catamaran built by Robertson and Caine, featuring the performance-driven design of naval architect Alex Simonis. This fiberglass hull catamaran measures 40 feet in length with a 22-foot beam, powered by twin 60-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. The boat was owner-operated and never chartered.

The interior layout reflects a modern approach to catamaran living. The galley is positioned forward with large windows, while the saloon features forward-facing settee and dining areas positioned aft. Sliding glass doors open the saloon to the aft cockpit, creating an open flow between interior and exterior spaces. Direct access from the galley to the forward platform enhances ventilation and ease of movement throughout the boat. The interior is finished in light blonde tones, creating an airy, contemporary atmosphere. Accommodations include three cabins and two heads.

The Leopard 40 design emphasizes both volume and seakeeping ability. Compared to earlier Leopard models, this iteration incorporates increased hull volume while maintaining the range's characteristic speed and agility. The wide beam and catamaran configuration provide generous interior space and stable platform characteristics for blue-water cruising.
