Karma is a 2017 Nordhavn 63, one of only a handful built with a four-cabin layout. Built on a fiberglass hull measuring 63 feet long with an 18-foot beam, she combines Nordhavn's renowned offshore capability with refined accommodations and comprehensive systems. Powered by a John Deere 6090AFM75 main engine (330 hp, approximately 4,900 hours) paired with a John Deere 4045TFM85 wing engine (100 hp, approximately 600 hours), both engines drive a complete ABT TRAC hydraulic package providing bow and stern thrusters, stabilizers, and redundant pumping systems. A 2,500-gallon fuel capacity and 600-gallon freshwater tank support extended cruising, complemented by dual generators, watermakers, and a comprehensive mechanical installation.
The interior reflects a 2025 refit that renewed soft goods and appointments throughout. The main salon features teak and spruce flooring with a three-piece cherry dining table, custom Ultraleather seating on both sides, and an open galley forward with Sub-Zero refrigeration and premium cooking appliances. Hunter Douglas blinds were installed on all windows, and headliners were recovered throughout. Four staterooms include an owner's cabin to port with queen berth and ensuite head, a forward bow cabin with double single berths, a midship guest cabin with over-under bunks, and a utility room with single berth. Three separate heads serve the accommodations, with the owner's featuring a granite vanity and the forward guest head including an FRP shower.
The pilothouse offers a full work and gathering space with dual Stidd helm chairs, wraparound instrument dash, and an aft captain's cabin with full head. Commercial-grade electronics include dual redundant navigation PCs running TimeZero software, Seatronix and Furuno displays, a Furuno SC-70 satellite compass, and multiple radars and AIS systems. A high-performance Starlink antenna provides global connectivity. Control stations on both wing decks and the aft cockpit provide excellent sightlines for docking, supported by Dockmate wireless throttle and thruster control.
Karma underwent significant systems upgrades: the navigation network was reorganized for dual redundancy, deck lighting was converted to stainless-steel fixtures, raw-water sea strainers were replaced with bronze Groco units, and a new Highfield SP360 tender with Yamaha 40 outboard was added on custom chocks. The mechanical plant is maintained with comprehensive software tracking all systems, spares, and procedures. Two Northern Lights generators (20 kW and 9 kW), dual watermakers, HVAC, and a full complement of safety equipment including fire suppression systems and liferafts round out the installation.
