This 2017 Northern Marine Expedition is an 80-foot fiberglass pilothouse expedition yacht built for serious blue-water cruising. Powered by a single Detroit Diesel MTU engine producing 475 horsepower, the yacht cruises efficiently at 7.8 knots, consuming just 4 gallons per hour at 1,000 RPM. The vacuum resin infused construction provides a robust, durable hull suited to extended offshore voyaging, with a reported range exceeding 6,000 nautical miles. The single-engine layout and design allow the yacht to be operated by a small crew.

The interior accommodates four to six people across multiple staterooms. The owner's stateroom amidships features a king berth with ensuite head and generous storage. A guest stateroom mid-ships has a queen berth, ensuite head, and storage. Forward, a captain's double stateroom with ensuite head and shower serves as additional guest accommodation. A crew quarters forward includes two berths, a lounge, and an ensuite head with shower. All staterooms have private heads and showers. Five total heads serve the yacht.
