The 2017 Ranger Z520 Comanche is a 20.75-foot fiberglass bay boat designed around serious fishing capability. The hull incorporates Ranger's established design principles, and the boat carries a single gasoline engine for its power plant.

The interior is organized with fishing as the primary function. Rod storage spans the port and center boxes with capacity for up to 20 rods, supported by angled tube holders and handle-grip rod holders. The gel-coat lined boxes feature a power ventilation system designed to manage moisture. An oversized livewell with splash guards sits ready for baitfish and catches. Additional practical storage includes built-in tackle compartments, tool holders, and a measuring board.

Console and electronics support includes a bow layout sized for larger 12-inch displays and navigation lights integrated into the design. Lowrance electronics and a Minn Kota trolling motor are installed. The helm features an adjustable driver's seat, battery selector switch, and built-in battery charger for power management during extended time on the water.
