The 2017 Scarab 165 G is a 15.75-foot fiberglass jet boat powered by a single 170 hp Rotax engine. This compact runabout delivers responsive performance with a top speed of 50 mph and a cruising speed of 20 mph, making it well-suited for both open water and shallow draft conditions. The jet propulsion system eliminates shaft exposure, reducing the risk of entanglement with weeds or rope, while the Rotax closed-loop cooling system keeps external water and debris away from the engine.
The boat features quick hole shots and rapid planing characteristics typical of jet propulsion. Lateral thrust control provides responsive reverse operation and precise low-speed maneuvering, giving the operator confident control in tight spaces or at the dock. The shallow draft allows navigation through skinny water where conventional propellers would struggle.
The boat was serviced at the end of the previous season and shows only 54 hours of use. Equipment onboard includes a GPS/depthfinder, boat cover, lifejackets, anchor, docking lines, and bumpers.
