The 2017 Sterling TR7 is a 17-foot fiberglass flats boat built with Sterling's proprietary HPI double-hull construction. The process bonds an outer and inner hull with high-strength closed-cell foam injected between them, creating a structurally rigid and unsinkable platform suited to shallow water fishing.
Power comes from a single Mercury 90 four-stroke outboard engine. The boat is fitted with dual power poles and a Minnkota i-Pilot trolling motor for precise positioning in tight water. The bow features a casting platform designed for sight fishing, and the boat rides on a galvanized trailer.
