This 2017 Tofinou 9.5 is a 31-foot fiberglass sailing yacht designed by Joubert and Nivelt with modern, elegant lines and a narrow hull measuring just 2.5 meters at the beam. Built around simplicity and solo-sailing capability, all halyards and sheets lead to the helmsman's position in the cockpit. The boat features a carbon mast, a retractable keel with lead bulb that adjusts between 1.2 and 2.2 meters via electric motor and mechanical backup, and a 14 hp Yanmar diesel engine with approximately 130 hours recorded. The design delivers both speed and stability with responsive handling.
The interior accommodates one cabin with one head and includes a functional, minimal layout suited to the boat's purpose. The cockpit and deck are finished in teak, with a fixed boom strut, rigid boomvang, and self-tacking foresail drum. Navigation equipment includes a B&G Triton system with three 1010 displays, autopilot, depth sounder, wind indicator, and analog compass. Power is managed by a Victron 110 amp battery with 12-volt charger, and both electric and manual bilge pumps are installed.
The boat carries multiple sails—mainsail, jib, spinnaker, and code zero, all by Xvoiles with covers and protective bags. Additional equipment includes a carbon telescoping boom, two winches, carbon boom gallows, teak coach roof boards, and a comprehensive anchoring and mooring kit with textile slings and Wichard shackles rated for 5 tonnes. A folding boarding ladder, interior cabin lighting, and shower are fitted.
The hull and antifouling were serviced in July 2023, and the carbon mast was refinished the same year. A Harbeck aluminum trailer rated for 3.5 tonnes with two side lockers was added in 2023 and is included.
