2017 VanDutch 55

The 2017 VanDutch 55 is a composite-hulled cruiser designed by naval architect Frank Muller, combining speed and luxury in a 55-foot package. Twin 900-hp Volvo Penta diesel engines deliver up to 37 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots. The beam of 14.75 feet provides generous interior volume and stability.

The main deck showcases synthetic teak flooring, white leather seating, and a forward-facing settee with backrests that serve as additional seating. Pop-up running lights integrate safety with design. The aft deck features a spacious sun pad accessible via a U-shaped windscreen that blocks noise from the conversation pit below. The bow provides an open, private retreat for guests.

Mechanical access is straightforward—engine and generator systems sit beneath the aft sun pad and lift out with the touch of a button. Ground tackle storage occupies a dedicated machinery space forward on the foredeck. The two-cabin, one-head layout supports cruising with family or guests.

Recent work includes new steering system components, exterior cushions, an Onan generator, and a Volvo engine rebuild on the port side, all completed between 2022 and 2024. A navy blue vinyl wrap was applied in 2023 over the original grey-silver hull paint, which remains in good condition underneath.
