The Aquila 48 is a 48-foot fiberglass catamaran built in 2018, powered by twin Volvo Penta D-6 diesel engines rated at 660 hp combined. The boat features a modern design with extended deck spaces and panoramic sightlines throughout. The main deck offers both forward and aft covered cockpit seating, with an aft lifting platform for easy ocean access and water toy deployment. A dinghy hangs from a davit system for convenient launching and retrieval.
The layout centers on a spacious saloon with comfortable seating for dining and entertaining, connected to a galley fitted with modern appliances. The four-cabin layout provides well-appointed accommodations, each with en-suite bathrooms and abundant natural light from panoramic windows. The boat includes a fully enclosed upper deck with Isinglass protection, a helm station with 360-degree visibility, a summer kitchen with grill and wet bar, and forward lounge seating. A walk-up bar connects to the main salon, and an aft outdoor dining area provides additional entertainment space. Multiple stairways—interior, forward, and aft—provide convenient access between levels.
The engines run 2,300 hours and show evidence of consistent maintenance. A Northern Lights 16kW generator is on board with 9,562 hours. Recent work includes a two-thousand-hour Volvo service, new helm control box, replacement lithium house battery system, new engine and generator batteries, hull wet-sanding and repainting, new three-sided helm enclosure, flybridge grill replacement, updated A/C system, replaced salon refrigerator and microwave, flybridge ice maker replacement, reupholstered cushions throughout, shaft seal replacement, starboard motor solenoid replacement, and port motor water pump replacement. Props and running gear have been refinished with anti-fouling paint. An EPIRB2 has been added.
