This 2018 Edey & Duff Herreshoff 12½ is a fiberglass-hulled classic daysailer built by Ballentine's Boat Shop. The design exemplifies the enduring appeal of traditional small craft—known for its stable hull form, generous beam, and forgiving gaff rig that suits sailors from beginners to experienced racers. The boat features varnished spruce spars, traditional bronze hardware including upgraded fittings, and a jib boom. It comes equipped with mainsail and jib, port and starboard oarlocks, and a Triad galvanized trailer for transport.

The hull is finished in Awlgrip Flag Blue and presents with classical lines and a striking appearance. The gaff rig, combined with excellent cockpit space and simple sail handling, makes this boat equally capable for relaxed harbor sailing or competitive racing. The boat has seen active use in local racing.

Like wooden-spared traditional craft, the brightwork benefits from regular yearly maintenance of two to three coats of varnish to preserve its appearance and protection.
