The 2018 Hallberg-Rassy 44 is a 47-foot cruising sailboat built with a fiberglass hull and designed for extended ocean passages. Powered by a Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel engine with dual Racor fuel filters and a Flex'oFold three-bladed propeller, the boat features bow and stern thrusters from Sleipner Sidepower for manageable docking and close-quarter maneuvering. Variable displacement allows precise thrust control at any speed.

The sailing plan centers on a three-spreader Seldén rig with in-mast electric furling and a self-tacking track for the jib. Main and genoa sails from North are 3Di construction dating to 2023, paired with a self-tacking jib, furling code zero from 2021, and a gennaker. Sheet and halyards are managed by Lewmar electric winches throughout. Navigation and helm stations run Raymarine electronics: an Axiom 12 chartplotter, p70 autopilot, Q24C radar, AIS transponder, and dual VHF stations with remote camera feeds from the spreaders.

Accommodation spans a full-beam saloon with an entertainment system, galley with gas cooker and microwave, separate forward and aft head compartments with electric toilets, and berths for six plus a seventh bunk with storage. Comfort systems include Webasto heating, split-unit air conditioning in the saloon and both cabins, two refrigerator-freezers, and hot water on demand. Lithium battery banks power service loads and thrusters separately, supported by dual alternators and a Mastervolt inverter and shore charger.

Safety gear includes a 2020 liferaft, EPIRB, life-sling, man-overboard system with lighting, and fire suppression throughout. The deck carries full teak with 27kg main anchor, 20kg aft anchor, and hydraulic windlass. A 2.7-meter dinghy is included, along with extensive tooling, spare propeller, and documentation for ocean cruising certification.
