This 2018 Lagoon 42 catamaran has undergone extensive refitting and system renewal, making it suitable for extended cruising and offshore passages. The boat features three cabins and three heads across its fiberglass hull, powered by two Yanmar diesel engines delivering 114 horsepower each with saildrives.
The refit encompasses major structural and mechanical work. The hull received removal of old antifouling, new epoxy coating and antifouling application, polishing, and repair of scratches and gelcoat damage. New Yanmar main engines with saildrives and control panels were installed, along with overhaul of the steering system including rudder bearings and steering lines. The windlass was replaced, and all running rigging renewed.
Systems throughout the boat have been updated. Battery banks, through-hull fittings, valves, shower hoses, galley and bathroom faucets, and the black water tank were all replaced. Navigation electronics include B&G Zeus 3S and Triton 2 displays. A new square-top mainsail, genoa, and lazy bag complete the sail plan. Standing rigging was renewed following mast removal and re-stepping.
Interior furnishings and safety systems have been refreshed. Wooden components and furniture were repaired, and all upholstery—interior and exterior—mattresses, and cabin curtains were replaced. Safety equipment including the life raft, flares, and fire extinguishers were renewed. Optional upgrades available include a washing machine, cockpit enclosure, helm seat, and windlass remote control.
