2018 MasterCraft X26

The 2018 MasterCraft X26 is a 26-foot fiberglass V-drive surf and wake boat — the largest model in MasterCraft's late-2010s X-Series lineup. Powered by an Indmar 7000 MPI marine V8 inboard engine with V-drive transmission, the X26 delivers the torque-rich authority and wake geometry suited to modern wakesurf and wakeboard duty. The boat is equipped with MasterCraft's SurfStar surf-shaping system, which uses transom-mounted plates to generate a repeatable, asymmetrical wave. Factory ballast integrated into the hull typically ranges from 3,000 to 3,800 pounds and works with the engine's pulling power to produce consistent wave amplitude across a full passenger load.

The cockpit layout is purpose-built for family surf and wake outings. A wraparound bow lounge flows into a generous midship area with helm and companion seating, observer seating at the transom, and an integrated swim platform with boarding ladder. The integrated wakeboard tower includes board racks and tower-mounted speakers. Standard equipment for this vintage includes MasterCraft's MasterTouch touchscreen helm interface, premium audio, navigation lights, and integrated storage and cup holders throughout the interior. The 26-foot platform provides meaningfully more cockpit volume and passenger capacity than the smaller X-Series siblings, with a larger hull that maintains composure on bigger water.

The V-drive configuration places the engine amidships with the prop shaft running aft under the hull, positioning the prop further back than a direct-drive design. This geometry produces the wake character that modern V-drive wakesurfers and wakeboarders prefer.
