2018 NEEL 51

This 2018 NEEL 51 trimaran combines cruising comfort with performance sailing in a modern fiberglass design. The boat stretches just over 51 feet with a 29-foot beam and sits on a carbon mast with white lacquer finish and textile upper and lower shrouds. Hydraulic sail controls include electric furlers for the jib and staysail, both Hydranet sails, paired with a Hydranet mainsail on a lattice boom. A single Volvo D2-75 diesel engine with 255 hours of operation powers the yacht, which includes a folding propeller and bow thruster for maneuvering.

The layout sleeps up to eight crew across four cabins and four heads. Interior amenities include an electric galley with gas cooktop and oven, microwave, dishwasher, two stainless drawer refrigerators, and a water maker producing 160 liters per hour. Fresh water and fuel tanks each hold 600 liters. The saloon features a retractable dining table, while synthetic teak covers the cockpit, sun deck, and aft platforms with removable cockpit enclosure. An attached dinghy davit with electric winch and a Highfield tender with 15 hp Honda outboard complete the setup.

Electronics and power systems are comprehensive. A B&G suite includes a 12-inch multifunction screen with integrated Gofree, dual Triton2 instruments, a 9-inch Zeus 3 at the chart table, Navionix Gold mapping, gyro autopilot with two remotes, B&G 4G broadband radar, and a Fusion audio system with DVD and Bluetooth. A 5,000-watt inverter, generator, solar panels, and 25-meter shore power line with 60-amp charger provide robust electrical independence. Navigation includes VHF with AIS reception and a dedicated AIS transceiver.

The engine was replaced under warranty. Two electric anchor winches, electric jib and staysail furlers, three electric grinding winches at the helm station, and an electric boom vang with lazy jacks and spreader bars support single-handed sailing. Synthetic teak platforms, a swim ladder with hot and cold shower on the port floats, and comprehensive LED interior and navigation lighting finish the yacht. This owner's trimaran has never been chartered.
