The 2018 Seascape 27 is a purpose-built cruiser-racer designed by Sam Manuard Yacht Design and later acquired by Beneteau as the First 27. Built for speed and handling, the hull combines the lightweight construction and performance ancestry of Mini-Transat design with genuine seaworthiness. A carbon mast, boom, and bowsprit support a full modern sail plan with main, jib, staysail, and kite halyards that all run to the cockpit. The boat sits on a swing keel with minimum draft of 3 feet 1 inch and maximum of 6 feet 5 inches, making it adaptable to different waters. A Mercury 4-stroke 9.9 hp outboard engine powers the boat.
The tiller-steered cockpit controls all lines for easy solo or shorthanded sailing, while the layout below provides surprising comfort and storage for a 27-footer. The boat accommodates one cabin with a head and is designed to be easily managed by one person or small crew without sacrificing livability.
This is a one-owner boat bought new and professionally maintained throughout. Recent work includes a fresh Baltoplate bottom paint finish with epoxy barrier coat applied by CSR Marine in April 2025, hull and deck buffed and waxed by the same yard, and the Mercury outboard serviced by Ballard Marine in May 2025 with under 100 hours of use. The boat is equipped with 350 watts of transom-mounted solar panels and has been kept in fresh water.
