2018 South Bay 523RS

The 2018 South Bay 523RS is a tri-toon pontoon built with V-Lite composite decking, a material introduced that year to replace traditional marine plywood. This upgrade reduced the boat's weight by roughly 500 pounds while improving durability. The 24-foot platform features a 200 hp Suzuki outboard and measures 8.5 feet across the beam.

The boat comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of options: Seastar hydraulic steering, dual captain's chairs, a removable bench seat, fiberglass console, dual batteries with switch and onboard charger, and a full boat cover. Entertainment and navigation are handled by an in-dash Simrad color GPS and a JL Audio system that includes a head unit, subwoofer, speakers, and amplifier. The boat carries blackout trim styling throughout.

Minor repairs have been made to a couple of areas on the pontoons; these do not affect performance. A 2021 Magic Tilt tandem-axle aluminum trailer (Model TP1822A) is included.
