2018 Tartan 345

The 2018 Tartan 345 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat with a carbon fiber mast and boom pocket, powered by a single 27 hp Volvo diesel engine. The hull features a high-volume form with slightly veed forward sections and full, flat aft sections designed to maintain easy steering balance across varied wind conditions and provide strong performance in heavy weather. The deck employs vacuum resin infusion construction with epoxy resin, unidirectional glass, and balsa coring, with stainless steel hardware fastened through reinforced windows to aluminum backing plates for strength and serviceability.

Below deck, the boat includes an autopilot, air conditioning, and a full instrument suite. One head is aboard. The double-spreader carbon mast is tapered and lighter than comparable aluminum spars, designed to reduce pitching and weight aloft while improving rig stability and tuning characteristics.

The boat comes with a custom winter cover suitable for storage with the mast up and includes a cradle for support.
