This 2018 Thunder Jet 26 Pilot is a 28-foot aluminum runabout built for Pacific Northwest offshore fishing. The hull uses 5086 aluminum for the bottom with 5052 sides and transom, paired with twin Mercury Verado 200 hp outboard engines that have 725 hours on them. The boat was significantly upgraded and outfitted in 2022. It carries 110 gallons of fuel, features hydraulic steering, automatic bilge pumps, and a Danforth anchor.
The interior includes an enclosed pilothouse with 7 feet of headroom, a V-berth for sleeping, a dry bar, and extensive built-in storage. The helm area is equipped with Float Ride captain's chairs and has dual control stations—one at the interior helm and one at the deck station—allowing operation from either position.
Electronics are comprehensive: dual Simrad NSS EVO3S multifunction displays (12-inch at the interior helm, 10-inch at deck control), Simrad Halo 24 radar, a Simrad NAC-2 autopilot with integration to both helm stations, dual VHF radios, a compass, and battery monitoring. A Garmin EcoMap CV 8-inch serves as backup at the interior helm. Navionics Canadian regional charts are loaded.
The working deck is optimized for salmon trolling, with a large aft cockpit, custom fish-cutting table with tackle storage, two Scotty electric downriggers, eight-rod roof rack, gaff and net holders, trim tabs, a washdown pump, and integrated stern preparation bar. A swim grid and walk-around deck support safe access and fish handling. The boat rides on stainless steel propellers and includes a generator compartment in the aluminum roof rack.
