This 2019 Albemarle center console is a 24-foot custom rebuild completed by Capps Boatworks. The boat was reconstructed from its solid fiberglass hull with new stringers, bulkheads, deck, and carlins. Construction above the deck is entirely new, with composite materials used throughout to minimize rot risk. The integral engine bracket is tied into the stringers for added structural strength rather than using bolt-on aluminum brackets. Structural wood components are heavily glassed and protected with West System Epoxy plus three coats of two-part epoxy barrier coat.
The hull features a light blue Awlgrip finish with boot stripe and bright white topsides. A white powder-coated T-top with rocket launchers and lightweight composite hard top are fitted, along with a custom white powder-coated leaning post featuring a foot rest and forward console seat with cushion. The boat is outfitted with a Release Marine control handle, Release Marine blind-mount rod holders, Edson Marine stainless steel steering wheel, Garmin 840xs echo map with thru-hull transducer, Lenco trim tabs, SeaStar hydraulic steering, new gauges, new Fusion stereo with speakers, raw water washdown, onboard battery charger, LED navigation and courtesy lights, spreader lights, and Rupp Top Gun 15-foot outriggers.
Storage includes under-gunnel lockers on both sides, a forward anchor locker, a large insulated in-deck fish box in the bow, and an additional drop-in storage box in the aft cockpit. A single 250-horsepower Yamaha engine powers the boat with hydraulic steering and a 72-gallon fuel tank. Cruising speed ranges from 22 to 26 knots at 1.7 to 2.0 miles per gallon depending on load and conditions, with a top speed approaching 40 knots.
