The 2019 Antares 44 GT is a fiberglass catamaran built by Argentinian yard 40 Grados Sur. This model represents over two decades of refinement in blue-water cruising design, with the 44-foot hull optimized for ocean voyaging. Halo is the first Antares to feature the redesigned GT cockpit, which prioritizes comfort and streamlined aesthetics. At 44 feet long with a 21.75-foot beam, the catamaran is powered by two 80 hp Volvo diesel engines.
The interior provides three cabins and two heads for extended cruising. The boat is equipped with substantial renewable energy systems: 2.8kW of solar panels and 9kWh of lithium battery capacity. A Bauer JR electric dive compressor with two steel tanks is installed, supporting exploration-focused cruising.
The boat was commissioned in Argentina and completed comprehensive sea trials before handover. All systems were fully tested and optimized during this shakedown period. As a single-owner yacht, Halo has been carefully maintained throughout her service to date.
