2019 Chaparral 297 SSX

The 2019 Chaparral 297 SSX is a 29-foot bowrider built on an extended V-plane hull with 100% Perma Panel marine coring. The boat runs on a single gasoline engine and features a self-bailing cockpit drainage system with a fiberglass liner. A 100-gallon aluminum fuel tank supplies the engine. The helm is outfitted with twin Simrad NSS7 EVO3 chartplotters with 7-inch color multi-touch displays, GPS, WiFi connectivity, and integrated engine data. Power-assisted steering with a tilt wheel and rack-and-pinion design is paired with a custom hand-wrapped console and leather steering wheel. Navigation and systems are supported by dual batteries with a crossover switch, sealed electrical connectors, and loom-wrapped wiring throughout.

The cockpit layout includes a power-slide aft bench that converts between full bench and sun lounge seating. The bow features hinged cushions with storage underneath and an insulated ice chest. A removable cocktail table with dedicated storage sits center cockpit, with additional drawer and storage built into the dash walkway. The helm area has dual USB charging ports and a DC power plug. Throughout the boat, LED lighting illuminates the bow, cockpit, engine compartment, ski locker, and swim platform. An extended fiberglass swim platform and anchor hull guard round out the utility features.

An enclosed fiberglass head compartment is fitted with a porta-pottie, vanity with solid surface countertop and stainless steel sink, opening portlight with screen, upper and lower storage cabinets, and wood flooring. A color-coordinated Bimini top with windscreen and Sunbrella fabric provides shade forward. The 297 SSX carries a Lifetime Limited Hull Warranty and 5-Year Premier Level limited component warranty on all components.
