2019 Excel 230 Bay Pro

The 2019 Excel 230 Bay Pro is a 23-foot aluminum bay boat built for serious fishing. At 8.5 feet wide—the maximum legal towing beam—it combines a spacious platform with manageable trailering. The hull is built from 0.150-inch aluminum, thicker than the industry standard, and features a 14-degree pad design that lifts the bow for a dry ride and enables speeds unusual for a boat its size. Power comes from a 250-horsepower Suzuki 4-stroke engine with 163 hours of operation.

The boat arrives fully equipped for fishing and offshore work. It includes a Minn Kota Terrova i-Pilot trolling motor rated at 112 pounds of thrust on 36 volts, paired with three lithium 12-volt batteries that were recently added. A Garmin 94SV chartplotter with transducer and an Atlas 6-inch jack plate are integrated into the setup. A 10-foot Powerpole provides secure anchoring in shallow water.

Additional features address both functionality and comfort. A Bimini top shades the console, while blue and underwater lights are fitted throughout. The front deck includes a fishing seat, and the boat rides on a tandem-axle aluminum trailer equipped with brakes and a spare tire. The hull carries a complete camo color scheme with matching motor cowling.
