2019 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40

The 2019 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising, powered by twin Volvo Penta D1-30 diesel engines with folding propellers and saildrives. At 38 feet in length with a 21.5-foot beam, the yacht combines broad deck space with a proven offshore design. The boat carries a complete sail inventory including a fully battened square-top mainsail, genoa, asymmetrical spinnaker, and screecher, along with a factory-engineered bowsprit and electric primary winch for efficient handling.

The three-cabin, two-head layout features a dedicated owner's hull with an island queen berth, vanity, and large separate shower. The salon opens to natural light and ventilation, while the spacious cockpit includes a dining area that seats six beneath a full Eisenglass enclosure. A teak aft deck and Magma stern grill complete the entertaining spaces. Cabin climate control comes from three-zone reverse cycle air conditioning and heat with separate Dometic systems, while the galley includes an Isotherm refrigerator and freezer, four-burner stove, convection microwave, and portable induction cooktop.

Navigation and electronics center on professional-grade Garmin systems installed in 2022: dual 1243 chartplotters, Doppler radar, AIS integration, autopilot, and VHF at the helm and nav station, backed by a Vesper wireless handset. The electrical system runs on a 400Ah KiloVault lithium battery bank with Victron inverter, supplemented by ActivSOL solar panels and a SilentWind wind generator. A Cummins Onan 7.5kW generator and 35-liter-per-hour watermaker support extended off-grid operation, along with 50A shore power and Culligan water purification.

Recent maintenance includes new stainless steel exhaust elbows, professionally serviced heat exchangers, painted and serviced saildrives, replaced saildrive anodes, and bottom paint, all completed in 2024. The tender package comprises a 2022 AB Lammina 9.5 aluminum RIB with 15HP Suzuki fuel-injected outboard and electric davit winch. Additional equipment includes a full canvas enclosure, safety systems, multiple anchors with chain, and an extensive collection of deck hardware and fenders.
