The 2019 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 is a modern cruising catamaran designed by Berret Racoupeau and built by the French shipyard. At 45.83 feet long with a 25.26-foot beam, she offers substantial deck and interior space. The fiberglass hull and design deliver stability and smooth sailing characteristics across varying conditions. Twin Volvo Penta D2 diesel engines of 120 hp combined power the catamaran, supported by saildrives and efficient handling systems that make her manageable with a small crew.
Below deck, the layout comprises three spacious cabins and three heads, along with a bright open saloon that integrates the galley. The galley is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, and oven. A washing machine and upgraded air conditioning were installed in 2022. On deck, the cockpit features a BBQ and seating with full weather protection, while a flybridge provides additional seating and sunbathing areas.
The boat is comprehensively equipped for extended cruising. Five 390W SunPower solar panels feed into a Victron energy management system with a 3,000W inverter/charger and substantial battery capacity. An Aquabase watermaker produces 60 liters per hour. Navigation relies on a complete Garmin suite. Under sail, she carries a square-top fully battened mainsail, furling genoa, and a 110 square-meter gennaker, with electric and manual Lewmar winches for sail handling.
A Highfield dinghy with a Mercury 9.9 hp outboard and a comprehensive safety package are included. The engines have moderate hours and consistent servicing records.
