2019 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47

The 2019 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 is a luxury cruising catamaran built on a 46-foot hull with a 25-foot beam. Designed by Berret Racoupeau, she delivers strong sailing performance paired with the stability and spacious accommodations that define the type. Twin Volvo Penta D2-60 diesel engines provide 120 horsepower combined, with a cruising speed around 9 knots and maximum speed of 12 knots. The boat is fiberglass construction and has been U.S.-documented.

The Maestro owner's version layout includes three cabins and four heads, with the starboard hull featuring a full-beam owner's suite. The open-plan cockpit and salon flow seamlessly into the flybridge helm, creating commanding views underway and at anchor. The full galley is equipped with a 90-liter freezer, microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, oven, and icemaker. A 40,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning system supports comfortable living, and interior upgrades include custom cabinetry, salon curtains, and numerous 110V and USB charging points throughout.

This boat has been extensively upgraded for extended cruising. Power systems include a ReLion lithium house battery bank, three 365-watt solar panels, Victron inverter-chargers, and an Onan 13.5-kilowatt generator. A 60-liter-per-hour watermaker, fuel polishing system, and 220V capability support long-term voyaging. Electronics include a full Garmin suite with radar, autopilot, and depth/speed/wind instruments, plus an Iridium Go satellite communication system and Starlink. The rigging package features a code zero with top-down furler, bowsprit, gennaker gear, and a Mantus 85 anchor with 200 feet of chain and 200 feet of rope. Additional features include a liferaft, underwater lights, hydraulic dinghy lift, and Seagull water filtration.

A September 2025 assessment found the boat in serviceable condition with operational primary systems. Items noted for attention include the aft salon air conditioning unit not operational, forward salon cooling weak, stern navigation light not functioning, port engine start battery requiring replacement, windlass power supply pending verification, autopilot slightly erratic, audio system uneven, and the hydraulic swim platform requiring sensor adjustment. The starboard engine is new.
