This 2019 HH Catamarans 55 is a carbon-fibre performance cruising catamaran built by Hudson Yacht Group to a design by Morrelli & Melvin. Measuring 54.4 feet in length with a 26.6-foot beam, the boat combines high-performance bluewater sailing capability with easy handling. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 114 horsepower each deliver a cruising speed of 8.4 knots and a maximum speed of 9 knots. Curved daggerboards provide strong windward performance, while twin aft helms offer responsive control.
The accommodation centres on comfort for extended cruising, with three cabins and two heads split across the twin hulls. The owner's hull features an expanded ensuite with dual sinks; the guest hull includes a head, pantry, and laundry facilities. The cockpit galley incorporates a barbecue and high-end finishes throughout.
A comprehensive refit completed in 2024–2025 included new standing rigging by Future Fibre, fresh copper-coat bottom paint, new topside AwlGrip paint, updated running rigging, new port lights and hatches, engine and genset servicing, mast removal and rewiring, and mainsail refurbishment by North Sails NZ. Additional work covered a new mainsail cover, electronic updates, and extensive cosmetic and technical upgrades.
The boat is equipped with a lithium battery bank, generator, solar array, watermaker, and full B&G navigation suite. A carbon rig, square-top mainsail, and comprehensive sail inventory complement the low-hour engines for reliable global cruising. An extensive spares inventory and water toys are included.
