The JPK 45 FC pairs the French builder's engineering with architect Jacques Valer's design to create a fast cruising yacht. The hull features hard chines and substantial forward volume, built with a sandwich construction of fibreglass, PVC foam, and vinylester. Twin rudders balance the design for responsive handling.
The rig carries a white carbon mast and boom from AXXON, with Dyform and textile standing and running rigging. Incidence performance sails combine membrane and tafeta construction. A rigid hardtop protects the coach roof, and an arch supports the tender davit and solar panel array.
Below deck, the three-cabin layout is arranged for extended cruising comfort. Power comes from a Volvo diesel engine paired with a bow thruster for manoeuvrability. Onboard systems include a water-maker, washing machine, dishwasher, and generator. An in-hull water turbine supplements electrical generation. The navigation suite is comprehensive, with equipment selected for long-distance voyaging. The boat cruises easily at 9 knots and builds pace progressively as wind strength increases.
