2019 Nautitech 40 Open

The 2019 Nautitech 40 Open is a performance cruising catamaran built in fiberglass with a 39-foot length and 22-foot beam. Powered by twin 60-horsepower Volvo engines, she combines proven offshore capability with the spacious layout this design is known for. Recent sail upgrades include a North Sails Square Top mainsail, self-tacking jib, and HELIX furling gennaker in premium NorLam and Code-Tec laminates, all completed in October 2024.

The accommodations span four cabins and two heads, with a well-ventilated saloon and complete galley featuring refrigeration and a portable freezer. Additional cooling via a cockpit fridge supports extended cruising. The catamaran's power systems emphasize self-sufficiency: over 2 kilowatts of solar capacity feeds a 624-amp-hour lithium house bank, while a 100-liter-per-hour watermaker and Honda generator provide full off-grid operation.

Navigation and safety equipment reflects recent upgrades. The electronics suite includes B&G instruments with Orca Core 2 integration and Simrad radar. Safety gear added in 2024 includes an EPIRB, Plastimo ISO 9650-1 liferaft, upgraded fire extinguishers, and man-overboard systems. The tender package comprises a TacaCat T260LX with Suzuki 6-horsepower outboard and Remigo electric outboard.
