2019 Nautitech 46 Open

This 2019 Nautitech 46 Open is a sailing catamaran built around architect Marc Lombard's philosophy of balancing performance with livable comfort. The composite hull features twin 50 hp Volvo Penta engines, three-blade bronze folding propellers, and a full suite of Raymarine navigation electronics including dual Zeus 7" chartplotters, autopilot, and AIS capability. The open design emphasizes visibility from the helm and saloon through panoramic plexiglass in the roof canopy, while performance comes from a clean, aerodynamic hull form.

The deck and cockpit are well-equipped for cruising. Stainless steel handrails and an electric 1500W windlass with remote control support safe handling. The helm stations feature protective bimini covers and carbon steering wheels. A starboard cockpit shower with hot and cold water, electric winch for mainsail and genoa control, and davits for dinghy management round out the working areas. Recent upgrades include a new trampoline installed in 2023, and fresh North Sails mainsail and all canvas replaced in 2023–2024.

Below, four cabins and four heads with shared shower accommodate extended cruising. The forward cabins have opening portholes at the berth heads and include drawers beneath the beds. Each cabin is fitted with blackout blinds and wooden bed fronts. The saloon features a 360-degree view, U-shaped galley with electric seawater pump and substantial refrigeration—a built-in 104L fridge and 78L freezer—plus a convertible table and ottoman seating. Hot water is supplied by a 60L tank heated through engine cooling.

Recent major systems overhauls include new 4 x 250 Ah batteries installed at the end of 2024, four 100W solar panels on the roof, and dimmable LED lighting throughout. A Highfield 340 dinghy with 15 hp Yamaha outboard (2024) is included. Air conditioning, 12V cabin fans, a 2000W converter, and navigation lighting support comfortable extended passages.
