The 2019 Ranger Tugs R-23 is a 23-foot fiberglass trawler powered by a single 200-horsepower Yamaha diesel engine. Built for both comfortable cruising and trailering, this boat combines practical seaworthiness with surprising livability for its size. The design features a dramatic curved windshield with visor, four opening roof hatches, sliding side windows, and an opening glass bulkhead that flood the cabin with light and provide excellent sightlines from the helm and throughout the interior.
The cabin layout includes a private forward stateroom with convertible dinette and high-low table, a galley with refrigerator-freezer, cooktop, and microwave, and a head with marine toilet, holding tank, shower, sink, and vanity. The main salon offers additional seating that converts to sleeping space. A wide range of opening ports and hatches ensures good ventilation, and teak-and-ebony sole flooring adds warmth to the interior.
Standard equipment includes a Garmin 943xsv GPS chartplotter with sonar, VHF radio, illuminated compass, and full cabin and cockpit lighting. The boat was optioned with a bow thruster, Webasto heater, and factory-installed solar power. Notable upgrades also include a Westerbeke SBGC 3.5 generator, which is uncommon on this model. The cockpit is fitted with rod holders, a folding double seat, swim platform with stainless steel ladder, and transom entry door. The boat rides on a tandem trailer with built-in lights and fold-down mast, and weighs approximately 5,000 pounds empty.
The generator is currently inoperable and may require repair. All other systems and equipment are as specified above.
