The 2019 Tidewater 2700 Carolina Bay is a 27-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull. Power comes from twin Mercury V6 engines producing 225 horsepower each, with 367 hours on the engines. The boat is equipped with trim tabs for improved handling and performance.

Navigation and electronics include a Garmin 7616xsv 16-inch multifunction display with B75 thru-hull transducer, Garmin Dome Radar, and Mercury Vessel View 5-inch display. Steering is managed through an Optimus digital system. For fish-finding, the boat features a Minn Kota Riptide Ulterra 72-inch iPilot GPS trolling motor, and power poles with jack plate mounts provide anchoring capability.
