The Windy 46 Chinook is a 46-foot sports cruiser built on Windy Scandinavia's reputation for quality seakeeping and capable design. This 2019 example represents an evolution of earlier Chinook models, introducing an extended sunroof, panoramic saloon and cabin windows, and an extended bathing platform. Twin Volvo Penta D6-400 diesel engines (800 hp total, 250 hours as of August 2025) drive the boat through shaft drives paired with Humphree X450 trim, list, and coordinated turn systems. The shaft drive configuration allows the hull to realize its full performance with greater trim flexibility, and the drives lift for operation in tidal waters. Joystick docking is fitted for maneuvering.
The three-cabin, two-head layout balances comfort with practicality. The forward master suite holds a double berth with full-length lit hanging locker and direct access to its en-suite with teak shower grating. The starboard guest cabin offers a double berth, while the port cabin provides twin berths. The saloon features an L-shaped seating area and high-low table with port and starboard windows, connecting to the day head and galley. The galley includes a 85-liter electric fridge, electric combination oven-microwave (unused), and composite countertops with storage beneath the floor.
Navigation electronics are comprehensive: dual Raymarine AXIOM 12 PRO-RVX multifunction displays with electric tilt, Quantum 2 Radar (replaced 2023), AIS, autopilot, VHF radio, and a linked FLIR camera. The helm features an electronically raised individual seat and co-pilot bench with improved visibility, electronic steering, and single-lever engine controls. An Onan 4kW generator runs on 30 hours. Diesel-fired heating with five outlets serves the accommodation, which features oak flooring and dimmable LED lighting throughout.
The cockpit seats six to seven under a hard top with electrically operated canvas sunroof, with storage and a folding teak table. A wet-bar to port includes an integrated grill, fridge, and mixer sink. The fixed teak swim platform accommodates a tender and includes a retractable shower. Aft and side deck canopies were replaced summer 2025. The boat carries a Hurley Marine H30+ tender davit rated to 450 kg and an eight-person liferaft serviced in 2024. New engine batteries were fitted in August 2025; the engines were last serviced in March 2025.
