The X4³ is a 41-foot sailing yacht built in 2019 by X-Yachts, designed as a dual-purpose cruiser equally capable of competitive racing and extended offshore passages. The fiberglass hull employs vacuum-infused epoxy sandwich lamination for strength and durability. The boat carries a substantial keel weight and well-balanced sail plan suited to windward work, with a carbon bowsprit offering four configurations to accommodate asymmetric spinnakers and Code Zero sails. A single 45-horsepower Yammer diesel engine provides auxiliary power.
The interior spans three cabins and two heads across a modern, open layout flooded with natural light through eleven fixed hull and deck ports and twelve opening hatches. Deck hardware includes six self-tailing winches for halyards and sheets, an encapsulated lead keel, hydraulic backstay adjuster, discontinuous rod rigging, and Spectra halyards. The design prioritizes ease of handling by a small crew without sacrificing performance under full crew racing conditions.
Extended cruising equipment includes a lithium battery bank paired with a 2000-watt inverter and charger, diesel heating, an Iridium satellite telephone, StarLink connectivity, and a liferaft. An Oxxean aluminum RIB tender with Torqeedo electric outboard rounds out the cruising package. Code 0 and asymmetric spinnaker sails are included.
