The Amel 50 represents over five decades of cruising yacht refinement. This 2020 model marks the builder's first departure from the traditional ketch configuration, combining proven Amel fundamentals—watertight bulkheads, contained engine compartment, and offshore capability—with a modern layout. A Volvo diesel engine of 110 horsepower provides reliable propulsion at a cruising speed of 7.5 knots.

The boat is built around a center cockpit arrangement, protected by a hardtop dodger fitted with windscreen. This setup prioritizes safety and comfort in varying sea states. Below deck, the accommodation plan includes three cabins and two heads, offering genuine livability for extended passages or settled anchorages.
