2020 Custom Windlea Runabout

This 2020 Windlea is a 28-foot wooden runabout built by the Wisconsin-based Windlea company. The hull features cold-molded epoxy construction with three layers totaling three-quarters of an inch, using white oak for the frame, keel, and chine logs. Honduras mahogany planking is finished with 20 coats of traditional single-part varnish. Twin Mercury engines deliver 640 horsepower and achieve a maximum speed of 49 knots.

The single cabin includes a v-berth with cushioning and detailed woodwork, plus one head. The cockpit is designed with reversible seating, a built-in cooler, and a hideaway table. An elegant lighted liquor cabinet with premium crystal drinkware is integrated into the interior.

The boat is equipped with a custom trailer for transport and storage. The mahogany planking and varnish finish represent the handcrafted quality characteristic of Windlea's wooden boat construction.
