2020 Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 Catamaran

This 2020 Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 is a four-cabin catamaran built for blue-water cruising. The boat combines a practical deck layout with a bright, open interior and solid fiberglass construction. Twin Volvo Penta D2-50F diesel engines (102 hp each) drive the yacht, supported by a Cummins Onan 11.5kW generator for onboard power.

The raised helm station offers commanding visibility and features a Garmin touchscreen multifunction display integrated with autopilot, depth sounder, GPS chartplotter, and remote VHF handset. The spacious cockpit is arranged for both sailing and entertaining, with an integrated plancha grill. Deck hardware includes one powered Lewmar winch and two manual units. Below, the U-shaped galley is generously proportioned for a 42-footer and opens to the cockpit via a wide pocket door. It is fitted with dual Isotherm stainless steel refrigerator-freezers, an Airlux oven, and an Eno three-burner propane stove. Panoramic windows flood the interior with natural light.

Four private cabins each contain an ensuite head with shower, electric Vacuflush toilet with wash basin, LED and courtesy lighting, and 12-volt cabin fans. The electrical system includes four sealed AGM batteries (two 210Ah house banks, two 50Ah engine start banks) and a Victron Energy Multi Plus Compact 12-volt/2000VA charger-inverter. Air conditioning is provided by six Dometic units, ensuring comfort in warm climates. The layout suits couples, families, or charter operations equally.
