2021 Lagoon 40

The 2021 Lagoon 40 is a fiberglass sailing catamaran built for comfortable cruising and extended offshore passages. At 41.8 feet long with a 22-foot beam, she combines the proven Lagoon platform with substantial upgrades and modern systems. Twin Yanmar 4JH45 diesel engines deliver 90 horsepower combined and have logged 2,800 hours of operation. The yacht reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots and cruises at 8 knots, with folding three-blade propellers optimizing performance under sail.

The Owner's Version layout provides three cabins and two electric heads, arranged to maximize privacy and comfort for owners and guests. A convertible saloon berth expands sleeping capacity when needed. The reverse-cycle air conditioning system delivers 44,000 BTU throughout the cabins and main saloon, supported by fans and new interior blinds and curtains. The wide teak cockpit features a large dining table, aft cushions, and teak transoms, creating an outdoor living space well-suited to extended cruising.

Power and autonomy systems are comprehensive. A 7.5-kilowatt Onan diesel generator with 1,200 hours complements a 700-watt solar array and 2,000VA inverter. Three Victron AGM house batteries installed in 2024 provide storage. Fresh water capacity includes an additional 300-liter tank and a 120-liter-per-hour water maker. Navigation equipment comprises B&G Zeus 3S 12-inch display, Halo20 radar installed in November 2025, AIS transceiver, VHF radio, and ForwardScan sounder. Satellite connectivity includes Iridium GO and Starlink antennas and routers.

The sailing inventory includes a square-top mainsail, new self-tacking jib, Code Zero with pole, and asymmetrical spinnaker gear supported by one electric and three manual winches. Deck equipment encompasses stainless steel davits, folding gangway, boarding ladder, and a Highfield CL290 tender with Honda 10-horsepower outboard. An eight-person liferaft was serviced in December 2024. The yacht received antifouling treatment in October 2025 and other upgrades during a 2025 refit.
