This 2020 Grand Soleil 42 LC is a 45-foot cruising sailboat built by Cantiere del Pardo with a focus on Italian design, sailing performance, and comfortable offshore passages. Designed by Marco Lostuzzi, the hull is constructed from PVC sandwich composite with epoxy vinylester resin, paired with an L-shaped lead keel. The boat features a Flexiteek cockpit and coach roof, aluminum Sparcraft mast, rod rigging, hydraulic Harken backstay, Harken Performa hardware, and double carbon wheel steering. All controls are led back to the cockpit with winches positioned at the helm stations, making the boat manageable for solo sailing or a small crew.
The sail plan includes a semi-battened mainsail, self-tacking jib, new genoa, battened staysail, and asymmetrical spinnaker with sock, all OneSails and in excellent condition. The boat carries comprehensive B&G Triton 2 electronics, including autopilot, plotter, and Simrad AIS. Power comes from a diesel auxiliary with 510 hours on the engine. Additional systems include a Webasto six-outlet heating system, Dessalator desalination unit producing 60 litres per hour, 90-litre refrigerator, three-burner stove with oven, water heater, and electric windlass.
The accommodation spans three double cabins and two heads arranged around a generous saloon with U-shaped seating, convertible salon table, and chart table. Light-coloured wood finishes, indirect LED lighting, and ample volume throughout create a warm and modern interior. The cockpit features a teak table, cushions, and sun awnings. An electric hydraulic platform extends from the transom for swimming and water access.
