This 2020 Hog Island Boat Works SW 16 is a shallow-water skiff built for versatility across rivers, flats, and larger bodies of water. The rotomolded hull combines lightweight construction with a modified V-shape for comfortable travel in varied conditions, making it capable in both skinny water and open water. A 2020 Tohatsu 60/40 HP jet motor with electric start and power tilt powers the boat; the engine has approximately 100 hours and has been routinely maintained, with the impeller recently filed and tuned.
The boat is extensively outfitted for fishing. Equipment includes a Minn Kota Terrova 55-pound trolling motor with remote and foot control, a Hummingbird Helix 7 GPS G3N with quick-connect transducer, and a heading sensor for autopilot and spot-lock capability. The setup supports multiple fishing approaches: a removable poling platform with Hydroturf, a 10-foot polecat shaft, Sawyer Square Top Dynelite oars, bronze oar locks, and double-barrel rod storage. A whale tail hydrofoil assists the jet in getting on plane in shallow water and with heavier loads. The deck includes a custom bow cap, rear battery and fuel hatch, grab bar with rod holder and cup holder, and modular hardware for attaching seats and coolers.
Power comes from recently replaced deep-cycle marine batteries for the starter and trolling motor. A carbon tiller extension and all original documentation are included. The boat comes on a TN Elite aluminum trailer with torsion axle, upgraded hubs, folding tongue, aluminum wheels, and spare tire mount.
