The 2020 Midnight Express 43 Open is a center console powered by five Mercury Racing 450R engines producing 2,250 horsepower combined. The boat is finished in charcoal metallic with orange crush accents, and features an extended hard top with integrated shower, carbon fiber outriggers, and sea deck-style foam flooring throughout the gunnels. The hull bottom is painted black with additional detailing on the antennas, motors, hullside, and hard top pin stripes.
The yacht accommodates a full cabin with a v-berth that converts from a u-shaped seating arrangement with table into a sleeping berth. A complete galley includes a refrigerator and sink, with an enclosed separate head. Topside, an expansive forward lounge converts via electric controls into a sunpad, while an aft u-seat spans the full beam. The helm offers single or double seat configurations with a full-width cooler integrated into the seat top, plus two pull-out rigid coolers for additional storage.
Navigation and entertainment systems are comprehensive: three Garmin 8622 chartplotters, a 10-inch bow-mounted Garmin, depth sounder with through-hull transducer, open array radar, and a rear-facing camera. The sound system features JL Audio with ten speakers, four 12-inch subwoofers, and four amplifiers running through Fusion Bluetooth capability. Additional features include an 80-kilogram bow thruster, power anchor windlass with 300 feet of line, inverter-powered sea keeper 3 gyroscope with lithium battery, 5,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioning, LED lighting throughout with color-changing and strobe capabilities in the hard top, and underwater lights. The engines have logged 596 hours and the boat was stored under a fully enclosed cover in a covered boathouse. A triple-axle aluminum trailer is available.
