The 2020 Wally WallyTender 48 is a 48-foot center console built on a composite hull and powered by twin Volvo Penta D6 IPS diesel engines producing 960 horsepower combined. The shallow draft design of 3 feet 11 inches makes her well-suited for exploring shallow anchorages and coastal waters. Joystick control and IPS pod drives deliver responsive handling and easy docking without requiring a bow thruster, while a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer reduces roll at anchor and in rough conditions.
The open layout centers on a spacious aft cockpit with fold-down side panels that expand the deck area. The salon is air-conditioned and accommodates eight at a table with reversible bench seating, with additional padded lounging forward and aft. A retractable swim platform and garage space for water toys are built in. The head is equipped with air-conditioning.
Equipment includes an 11.5-kilowatt Onan generator, upgraded Garmin electronics, FLIR night vision camera, electric grill and sink in the cockpit, and a quality stereo system. Teak decking, carbon fiber accents on the dash and mast, removable sunshades with carbon fiber poles, and a custom metallic copper hull finish complete the design. The engine hours stand at 187 original.
