The 2021 Antares 44GS is a three-cabin, two-head catamaran built for blue water cruising. Designed and constructed in Argentina, this model features shaft drive propulsion with amidship engine access, dual 57 horsepower Yanmar engines with feathering four-bladed propellers, and a fully enclosed cockpit with protected helm. The boat carries in-mast furling mainsail, 130% genoa, furling screecher, and asymmetrical spinnaker.
The galley-down layout incorporates cherry wood joinery throughout the interior. Accommodations include a portable ice maker, galley provisions, and comprehensive systems for extended cruising: water maker, combination washer-dryer, air conditioning, generator, Starlink, and solar panels totaling 1256 watts. Power storage consists of 600 amp-hour and 1200 amp-hour lithium and deep-cycle battery banks for 12-volt systems.
The boat is equipped for blue water operation with life raft, EPIRB, AIS weather fax receiver, and Iridium Go capability.
