2021 Axis A22

The 2021 Axis A22 is a 22-foot fiberglass ski, wake, and surf boat powered by a Malibu Monsoon M5D1 5.3-liter V8 engine rated at 360 horsepower. The ballast system totals 2,615 pounds and includes a 1,065-pound center hard tank, plug-and-play 450-pound bow bags, and dual 550-pound rear ballast bags alongside the engine. This setup combines with Malibu's Surf Gate and Power Wedge to deliver an adjustable wave suitable for multiple skill levels or a minimal wake for slalom skiing.

The boat accommodates up to 15 passengers and features a sliding middle seat, cockpit heater, and tower-mounted bimini top with two surfboard pockets. Two swiveling board racks hold surf and wake boards. The audio system includes a Stereo Pack Two with transom remote, adjustable speed volume control, dual tower-mounted speakers, subwoofer, and multiple cabin speakers, allowing surfers to hear clearly without disturbing other occupants.

Standard equipment includes upgraded matte flooring, two bow-mounted batteries with onboard trickle charger, and a battery switch located next to the driver's seat for convenience. A spare propeller, carrying bag, and prop puller tool are included. The boat comes with a custom Axis trailer featuring a swivel tongue.
