A 32-foot downeast-style express built in 2021 by Brooklin Boat Yard. Twin Mercury Verado 250 V8 engines deliver 500 horsepower, enabling a cruising speed of 22 knots and a maximum speed of 50 knots. The hull is composite construction with sapele plywood topsides over a sapele and western red cedar core, sheathed in fiberglass cloth. Douglas fir internal framing and sapele cabinetry throughout reflect traditional boatbuilding methods combined with modern performance capability.
The pilothouse and salon feature satin-finished mahogany joinery and white V-matched overhead panels with a teak cabin sole. A V-berth sleeps two with storage and shelving, a portside settee offers additional seating and storage, and an enclosed head includes a shower with Corian countertop and stainless basin. An Isotherm refrigerator, Dometic 8000 BTU air conditioning and heating, and two Caframo Kona fans provide comfort below. Topside, the cockpit includes teak sole and boarding steps, stainless steel bow rail and cleats, varnished teak toe rails, and ample seating with storage. A transom door and swim ladder provide easy water access.
Navigation and helm equipment includes Garmin GPS and multifunction display, Garmin VHF radio, Ritchie Voyager compass, and Fusion stereo. Mechanical systems feature electric and hydraulic steering, a SidePower bow thruster, Zipwake 300S dynamic trim, and Mercury Active-Trim. The electrical system comprises three 12V AGM house batteries, two start batteries, a Victron 3000W inverter/charger, and shore power inlet. A 36-gallon freshwater tank, 145-gallon fuel capacity, and Jabsco MSD with holding tank support extended cruising. Canvas includes dodger, Bimini, and side curtains; ground tackle consists of a Bruce anchor with electric windlass and bow roller.
