2021 Excess 11

The 2021 Excess 11 is a performance catamaran built in the owner's three-cabin configuration. At 37 feet with a 22-foot beam, she combines responsive sailing characteristics with genuine offshore capability. Two Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines, each producing 29 horsepower and equipped with folding propellers, power the hull to a cruising speed of 6 knots. The boat carries 1,300 engine hours and was last serviced in March 2025. Her Pulse Line package includes a square-top mainsail, self-tacking jib on furler, gennaker, and Code Zero, all in Dacron or Mylar. Navigation relies on a full Raymarine suite: two Axiom plotters, Quantum 2 Doppler radar, AIS, and autopilot with wireless remote.

Below deck, three double cabins are arranged across both hulls, each with its own head and hot/cold water facilities. The owner's starboard cabin features an ensuite with shower, while two guest cabins to port each have their own heads with separate showers. The salon features a honey teak and white finish with an L-shaped sofa for six and a convertible chart table that doubles as a berth. The galley is fitted with an electric convection oven, induction cooktop, and both refrigeration and freezer units.

Power systems support full-time cruising and liveaboard use. A 900 ampere-hour lithium battery bank is charged by 2.3 kilowatts of solar panels and dual 125-amp alternators. A 5-kilowatt Victron inverter, Schenker Zen50 watermaker, and dual air conditioning units run on this platform. Fuel capacity totals 400 liters, fresh water 600 liters. The full cockpit enclosure with sunscreens creates a protected living space in any weather.

Deck equipment includes a 32-kilogram Delta anchor with wireless windlass, a Highfield CL290 tender with Honda 20-horsepower outboard (serviced March 2025), and comprehensive safety gear: SOLAS liferaft, EPIRB, life vests, and repair kits. Mooring and fender systems are complete, with ten long fenders and additional specialized types stowed aboard.
