2021 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47

The 2021 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 is a three-cabin catamaran built for extended cruising. Powered by two Volvo D2-60 diesel engines with approximately 80 hours of use, the boat runs on fiberglass hulls measuring 46 feet long and over 25 feet wide. The owner's version includes three cabins and three heads, each outfitted with slat bed bases and cabin curtains. Interior comfort features full heating throughout both hulls and the saloon, five 12-volt ventilation fans, and three electric freshwater toilets. Synthetic teak covers the master shower and cockpit areas for durability.

On deck, the catamaran is extensively outfitted for cruising. A fixed bimini with full enclosure covers the helm, while a removable cockpit tent, forward lounge seating, and an integrated gas grill provide outdoor living space. Synthetic teak covers the skirts and cockpit surface. A hydraulic platform rated for 200 kilograms carries a 3.6-meter Hypalon tender with a 20-horsepower motor. An electric windlass with chain counter and supplementary control manages ground tackle.

The sail plan includes a full-batten mainsail with automatic hook and lazy jack system, an electric-winch-driven headsail, and a gennaker with pole and hardware. Two electric winches assist sail handling at the helm. The rigging features double blocks for reefing at the second and third points.

Electronics and power systems support autonomous operation. A comprehensive Garmin Smart Cruising package adds an autopilot, VHF with AIS, dual GPS chartplotters, radar, and a remote autopilot control. Seven 150-amp solar panels charge an additional 150-amp AGM battery, while a 2000-watt charger-converter handles shore power at 220 volts or 110 volts. A low-consumption 12-volt water maker produces 100 liters per hour. Audio systems include a Bose system and Fusion Bluetooth entertainment package with four speakers. An 90-liter 12-volt refrigerator and sea-pressure water service support provisioning and comfort. Haul-out and engine service are scheduled for December 2025.
