This 2021 Freeman 42LR is a fiberglass catamaran built around serious offshore capability. At 42 feet with an 11.75-foot beam, it's powered by four Mercury V10 outboards totaling 1,700 horsepower. The engines have approximately 175 hours of run time and remain covered under Mercury's Platinum Warranty through August 2029.
The boat has been substantially upgraded through 2024 and 2025 to match current Freeman specifications. Key mechanical improvements include new rigging, controls, and steering installed in July 2024, along with Mercury E-Steer joystick control for docking and maneuvering. It runs Zipwake trim control with no ballast tanks, the same system found on current 42-foot models. A new Best Marine seachest with internal pumps was installed in 2025.
The layout centers on middle-row seating with a large 1,200-quart CoffinBox featuring dual-side access, suited for fishing or extended cruising. The boat is finished in Matterhorn White with Mist Grey seating and grey pipework, and features an XL hardtop, Marsh Tacky carbon fiber outriggers, a windlass, and a lightbar.
Electronics are current and comprehensive. Navigation and sonar include a Garmin 8624 display, XHD3 6-foot Open Array Radar, and both GSD25 and GSD26 sonar modules with Airmar transducers. Recent additions include Starlink satellite internet, a Lumishore lighting system with replaced control boxes and underwater lights, VesselView integration, and a premium Freeman stereo system. An inverter system was also installed in 2025.
