The 2021 Freeman 42LR is a 42-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull with a 11.75-foot beam. Power comes from four Mercury 300-horsepower V8 engines delivering 1,200 total horsepower, freshly installed in 2025 with 300 hours on the package. The boat features joystick control for precise maneuvering.
The console layout includes a second row of seating and incorporates a tackle station and rocket launcher for serious fishing applications. An XL hard top with integrated 10-inch Garmin mounting provides weather protection and overhead electronics placement. A factory folding tower extends the boat's rigging options for outriggers, which include carbon fiber poles and Gemlux bases.
Electronics are comprehensive: dual Garmin 8624 24-inch chartplotters, a Garmin 6-foot open array radar, GSD26 sounder module, GHP autopilot, two VHF radios with 8-foot antennas, and FLIR thermal imaging. A JL Audio stereo system, LED under-gunnel and underwater lighting, and six Hubbell 12-volt outlets round out the onboard systems. The boat carries the Carinthia Blue hull color with gray powder-coated hardware and includes one head.
